Race to efficiency

#Product & Development

Only a few weeks to go until our entire office gathers in front of a screen, eagerly watching the five Olympic rings and hoping deep down for a medal sensation. Because then it will become clear what Maloja has been working on for months. Design. Production. Editing. Marketing. There is hardly a department that is not involved in sponsoring the US biathlon team. And so it goes without saying that we want to be there live when this work becomes visible. In front of a global audience of millions. At the Olympic Games.

NORDIC SAFARI

#Product & Development #Travel

The Graubünden Tourism Association calls its network of perfectly groomed cross-country trails “Loipen Safari” – and it's right up our alley. Davos, Scuol, Upper Engadine, Lenzerheide, Sedrun. More than 160 kilometers across the entire canton. The ideal playground for photographing this year's Nordic combination – and immersing ourselves completely in the movement and the sport.

NEW PERSPECTIVES

#Product & Development

It depends on how you look at it – a statement that holds a lot of truth. Thus, we decided to spread our wings and take a closer look at ourselves from a bird’s-eye perspective. Viewing the aerial shots of our company's headquarters we were struck by their graphic effect. So, we outlined the fields for our collection label – only to discover that collectively they resemble a flower. And this led to the design of the individual flowers in the Fieldflower print in a slightly altered, somewhat reduced style.

Power to the kids

#Bach 1 | Inside Maloja

Almost 40 years ago, musician Herbert Grönemeyer advised society to let children take power for a change. No sooner said than done. The result? The loudest day of the year. The biggest chaos in the office. The widest smiles at the end of the day.

1.000 Kilometers across the Taunus

#In Movement #Travel

The Taunus Bikepacking Race was the highlight of the season for Betti Bögl. It is one of the most famous races in Germany and therefore has a very special appeal. With 17 female starters, it was also the largest women's field in the history of this event. A movie about a little more than four days of bikepacking in the Taunus.

WHYNOT? A MOVIE ABOUT FREEDOM, FRIENDSHIP AND THE COURAGE TO SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS

#In Movement #Travel

In a world full of perfect images, flawless bodies and endless advice, the answer to this question seems tangible - and yet so far away. The film WHY NOT takes a stand against the glossy promise of predictable happiness and instead shows a more honest reality: life is chaotic. Challenging. Unpredictable. And therein lies its beauty. WHYNOT? is a visually intense, emotional road trip through breathtaking landscapes, extreme contrasts and intimate thoughts.

Maloja Pushbikers in Girona

#In Movement #Travel

For many, Girona is a training location. For us pushbikers, it is more: a second home, a place of togetherness. For years, a part of our passionate community, which is now very friendly, has been drawn to the north-east of Spain. Being on the road together - connected by cycling, driven by the desire for community, enjoyment and conscious travel.

HIGH TECH MADE FROM SCRAPS

#In Movement #Travel

It’s a sustainability topic that is often overlooked by the media: every day, manufacturing facilities around the globe generate tons of fabric leftovers. Around 15–20% of the material are destined for disposal sites like incineration plants. While it is impossible to avoid fabric scraps, it is not impossible to reuse them.

GLIDE & RIDE

There are days in early spring when the mornings are still quite cold and the snow crackles under your cross country skis. Later in the day the air warms up. And while riding a lap on your mountain bike in the afternoon on the beautiful, dry southern trail, you can hardly believe it was still so cold in the morning during those first cross-country runs. The fact you were even in the snow at all that morning seems incredibly far away.
